Artist Spotlight
- Doc Martin

If there was a house DJ in America who could accurately claim to be the most important house DJ working today, it would be Doc Martin. But then, Doc would never accept such a title even if it happens to be true, because Doc is not only a legendary talent but a legendarily humble man.

The Doc began his mission on the decks back in the summer of 1986. His focus on house music from the land of funk and disco, was triggered while playing the club and warehouse scene in San Francisco.

As one of the major players in laying the foundations of a strong West Coast dance scene, Doc has always been a master of mixing the crowd with the music. Neatly avoiding pigeonholing, while embracing a myriad of different styles, his set creates a warm unique vibe of empathy on the dance floor.

Doc's legendary 8 hour sets at Flammable Liquid, Sunday Love, to the most underground lofts, and warehouse parties know no colors, age or sexual orientation. Not only does he regularly devastate dance floors in prestigious clubs like New York's Twilo and Liverpool's Cream, to the smallest loft parties, but he can also send a crowd of ravers into a euphoric groove. That's rare these days in a scene where there are sizable walls between the two ends of the dance music spectrum.

Sole Channel Music (Promo) - Dragon Fly - All The Way

When you combine a soothing voice with great lyrics and tight production that can set 2 different moods than you have a SOLE channel music release.

"All The Way" the newest release contains 2 mixes, The Main Mix which sets the evening tempo with chilled out keyboards and light drums and percussion to make it a great opening vibe to set any club mood in the right direction while the Mr. Soul Dub gets down, dirty and clubby for our deep club heads.

The 5 Beats Mix jumps to the peak hour of any nightclub and get's the dance floor jumpin', not surprising Mr. V and William "REELSOUL" Rodriguez head this project on both mixes and give it the flavor everyone comes to expect and receive with a SOLE channel music release.

Dragonfly although not new to the industry and having done some stuff with other producers and remixers sets the vibe and shows her talent not only as a singer but as a songwriter as well.

MoHo All Stars
Life Is (What You Make It)

After many, many club smashes the Groove Junkies step up to the funky uplifting table with their latest offering - Life Is What You Make It. The first mix on this packed single is the Soulelectro Mix. Don’t let the electro in the title throw you, its full of the trade mark uplifting feel-good vibe and the brilliant spoken words of Sista Mista. Stellar vocals come courtesy of Solara. I’m sure you can remember her from other GJ titles including Deeper, Paradise and Just Groovin’. The Funk Fusion Mix is up next, this time a slightly darker feel and some wicked sounding tribal beats have been added into the mix, ideal for later on in the night.

Also included in this mix is a haunting sounding organ which will totally lift the roof off your venue at the peaktime hour. We also have kindly been given an instrumental version of the Soulelectro and also the Funk Fusion Mix too, and just to make the DJs life even easier the Funk Fusion Beatz. Two acappella s have been included as well - the Spoken version and the Chantaclappa Tool. The releases from the MoHo camp keep on getting better and better, so if you want to rock the dancefloor this weekend head straight for this track. Satisfaction is guaranteed. (Antony Angell)
